A top-tier AI model needs data of the highest standard. And every analysis begins with a qualified plasma sample.
The "First Mile" From Sampling to Computing Power
In the intelligent era of the life sciences, we are used to talking about AI, algorithms and computing power—but if the sample at the source is not precise, then even the most advanced downstream analysis may drift away from the truth.
The standard operating procedure (SOP) for plasma sample collection and transport is the most fundamental, and most critical, link in the ProteinT Elixir™ system.
It places every sample within the same scientific coordinate system from the moment it is collected.
No matter where it comes from, who it comes from, or when it was collected—
the physical state and biological information of the data remain consistent and traceable.

Elixir™ Plasma Sample Collection
and Transport Standard Workflow
① Collection: starting with precision
Collect venous blood from the subject using a disposable vacuum blood collection tube containing EDTA anticoagulant
After collection, invert the tube gently 8–10 times to ensure the blood and anticoagulant are thoroughly mixed
② Centrifugation: balancing time and temperature
Centrifugation conditions: 1300 g, 4°C, 12 min, deceleration setting DEC = 0
If centrifugation cannot be performed immediately, the sample must be kept at 4°C and centrifuged within 4 hours
③ Separation and storage: preserving the purest "plasma signal"
After centrifugation, carefully remove the upper plasma layer (keeping the tip at least 0.5 cm away from the buffy coat)
Transfer to a cryovial, seal it, and move it to -20°C or below for storage within 6 hours
④ Aliquoting: gentleness and patience at every step
Before aliquoting, invert the tube gently 5–10 times to mix the sample, and draw from the middle portion for aliquoting
No less than 400 μL per tube; freeze for storage immediately afterwards (≤ -20°C)
⑤ Transport: cold-chain protection for research precision
Transport to the laboratory on dry ice or via cold chain, recording temperature and time throughout
Points to note:
● Sample tubes must be clearly labeled (sample number or subject ID)
● Repeated freeze–thaw cycles should be avoided during aliquoting, storage and transport
Why is this SOP so important?
In any AI-driven life science system, standardization is the scarcest variable.
Whether an algorithm can be reproduced across populations, and whether a model can be validated in the real world, depends on whether every single sample has been"collected to standard, stored to standard and transferred to standard."
The Elixir™ SOP is more than an operating manual: it is the foundation of trust in research and the underlying "data defense line" of the computing system.
Every sample handled in strict accordance with the SOP feeds the Elixir large model a "clean language of life" —
allowing the algorithm to read the signals of disease accurately, rather than the noise.
From standardized sampling to intelligent research
The scientific rigor of the Elixir™ system is reflected not only in its algorithms, but in every step of its workflow. Precisely because each step is traceable and reproducible, we can say with confidence: every research result has a basis in evidence.
And this, in turn, lays a solid"sample and computing foundation"for subsequent collaborative research, real-world studies and clinical translation.
We believe that a standardized sample is the key with which AI unlocks the code of life. What we work toward together with you is safeguarding the quality and value of every piece of data at its source.
