From October 13 to 15, 2021, the 11th China Proteomics Conference was held in Wuhan and came to a successful conclusion. The theme of this conference was "Proteomics-Driven Precision Medicine," focusing on the cutting-edge technologies and scientific research achievements of proteomics in precision medicine, biomedicine, and many other fields in recent years. Academician He Fuchu of the National Center for Protein Sciences, Academician Li Lin of the Center for Excellence in Molecular Cell Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and many other renowned domestic and international experts and scholars in proteomics and related fields participated in this grand event.
Highlights Professor Li Jie, Director of the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Clinical Multi-omics, was honored to be invited to participate in this conference and delivered an excellent report at the conference titled "Clinical Application of Precision Medicine Based on Combined Multi-omics Analysis."
In the report, Professor Li Jie presented the laboratory's scientific research achievements and technological breakthroughs, and the clinical translation of multi-omics. The atmosphere on site was lively, and many experts and peers hoped to further exchange and cooperate, jointly promoting the research and development of proteomics and advancing precision medicine.
Professor Li Jie pointed out that applying multi-omics analysis to clinical practice is an inevitable path for precision medicine. In precision medicine research in the post-genomic era, proteomics has important clinical significance, such as in the precise discovery and diagnosis of diseases, efficacy monitoring, prognosis assessment, targeted drug recommendations, new drug targets, and new vaccine validation, among many other diagnostic and therapeutic directions. Professor Li Jie emphasized that applying proteomics to clinical practice requires the establishment of various quality control and standardization processes, just as required for a clinical laboratory department. At the same time, Professor Li Jie also shared his team's recent major breakthroughs in applying proteomics to liquid biopsy work.
Therefore, the ultimate realization of the goals of precision medicine cannot be achieved without the promotion and large-scale application of proteomics. The Clinical Multi-omics Key Laboratory, supported by ProteinT, has always been marching steadily toward higher and farther directions on the path of development in the field of precision medical treatment. Outside the venue, many peers, experts, and teachers conducted in-depth exchanges on our products and approaches.
Although the 11th China Proteomics Conference has concluded, the footsteps of the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Clinical Multi-omics, supported by ProteinT, in helping the rapid development of medicine will not stop. After the conference, we will continue to uphold a diligent and professional spirit, keep striving, and provide precise and efficient testing services for colleagues in the life sciences, pushing multi-omics into clinical practice to benefit more patients. Finally, congratulations on the complete success of this grand event! We look forward to meeting again! |
